There will be changes to the area of validity of the Berner Oberland Pass in 2026. To ensure that you can continue to get the most out of your stay, we have compiled a transparent overview of all the changes for you.

Schynige Platte
Since July 2025, the Schynige Platte has once again been included free of charge in the Berner Oberland Pass. Look forward to nostalgic railway romance – at no extra cost!
From 2026, the following lines will no longer be included in the pass:
- Kandersteg – Oeschinensee
- Brig – Domodossola
Extend your Berner Oberland Pass by 2 days
Enjoy the Bernese Oberland for even longer. Your Berner Oberland Pass can be seamlessly extended by 2 additional days.
Availability & purchase
- The extension is only available at the train ticket counter.
- Online purchase is not possible.
- Purchases can be made directly on site during counter opening hours.
Conditions
- The extension applies to Berner Oberland Passes from the standard range.
- A maximum of two extensions (up to 4 additional days in total) can be purchased per main pass.
- The extension is issued as a separate pass called «BOP 2-day extension».
Inspection
- The main pass and the extension must be presented together during inspections.
- The extension must be presented together with the basic pass without being asked.

2nd class: Full price CHF 72 / reduced price CHF 60
1st class: Full price CHF 85 / reduced price CHF 70
