The Lötschentaler Museum introduces you to a world full of traditions and customs. Over 60 wooden masks offer you a complete picture of the development of mask making in the Lötschental [Lötschen Valley] from 1880 to today. Original objects and films let you experience the festive traditional costumes of Lötschental women and the historic uniforms of the Herrgotts Grenadiers.
As you go around, you will encounter an imposing model of the Bietschhorn mountain, magnificent woollen blankets, a medieval storage chest… you will encounter home decorations, agriculture and tourism. And you will discover the countryside and people captured in photographs and paintings.
