Experience the magical Lötschen Valley by PostBus!
The Lötschen Valley is a typical Alpine valley, sandwiched between the Bernese and Valais Alps. The striking Bietschorn mountain, which is visible from far around and has an altitude of 3,934 m is the main peak in the Lötschen Valley and since 2001 has been part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site. The valley is about 30 km long and therefore the biggest of the Valais tributary valleys north of the Rhone. Impressive mountain peaks with their larch-clad foothills seem to hold the villages in their arms Tourist attractions do not clash with the homely architecture.
The Lötschen Valley certainly has something to offer the tourist: in summer, the Lötschen Valley is the starting point for countless hikes in unspoilt countryside. 200 kilometres of hiking trails run through the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You can travel in comfort into the Lötschen Valley by PostBus from Gampel-Steg railway station. The Lötschen Valley line takes you to the villages of Ferden, Kippel, Wiler, Blatten and Faflerlap. Have a good journey!
